Introducing Novetta Entity Analytics v2.5
Novetta has released Novetta Entity Analytics v2.5 – a tool native to Hadoop; one that works with Cloudera and Hortonworks platforms, delivers highly accurate and scalable entity resolution – complete with built-in, customizable features that automate many of the tasks that used to require a data scientist!
Product Development Team Pulls Back the Curtain
Let’s face it, combining, taking care of and using data to get the necessary answers when they’re needed hasn’t been the easiest or most straightforward task.
At Novetta, we know there are significant challenges throughout the processes of storing, organizing, categorizing, processing, analyzing, and reporting on data.
We understand and appreciate those challenges – that’s why we’ve created an application for users of all skill levels to manipulate data effectively and efficiently. With Novetta Entity Analytics v2.5, companies and agencies alike can use their Big Data to answer critical business questions, make data-centric business decisions, inform and analyze targeted marketing campaigns, generate leads, detect fraud, assess security threats, analyze risk, and ultimately protect what’s theirs … all while growing revenue.
Novetta Entity Analytics v2.5 includes automated, repeatable, built-in processes that free up Analysts’ time so they can spend their time exploiting data rather than searching and organizing it in an ad-hoc manner. Users can now easily transform raw data from disparate data models and ontologies into a unified, integrated view – aka, 360-degree view – of persons, organizations, and locations.
Founded on Simplification, Automation and Customization
New automation features make it easier for users to discover, map, profile, measure, and group records into entities across any data set.
What makes it easier? Novetta’s product development team has enhanced Novetta Entity Analytics v2.5 with a standardized methodology and infrastructure which supports users in performing automated, repeatable, efficient entity resolution. Users now have easy access to configurable, pre-built resolution strategies that define the criteria for joining ambiguous references to the appropriate entity.
The new service layer allows for enriched, entity resolved data to be used within existing workflows. The service layer provides support for the necessary integration of Novetta Entity Analytics with the other applications users employ, while also providing the integration points that can be accessed and leveraged by existing dashboards and workflow systems for process control and system configuration – available directly within the configuration console.
Enhanced built-in security keeps data even safer; only users with designated access can see and use data. Data integration enhancements also include flexible publishing services so users can aggregate content in enterprise analytic tools, data warehouses, OLTP, OLAP and web services. By leveraging advanced features, expert users can further optimize data organization to define new entity types by adjusting and customizing built-in resolution strategies.
New visualization enhancements are included as well. Novetta Entity Analytics v2.5 brings users a refined, automated QA phase which includes the new entity explanation graph. The QA phase is the point where records are grouped as entities, and it’s not always obvious why certain data has been linked to the entity.
The entity explanation graph gives users the ability to review resulting entities from the configuration console. This flexibility enables users to take full advantage of underlying profiled, measured, and grouped records, as well as to create, manage, and review samples. Here, users can make adjustments and loosen the thresholds to allow more or less data into each entity, effectively adjusting the rules.
Users Get Back the 90% of Time Spent Organizing Results
Novetta Entity Analytics effectively eliminates the most challenging aspects of dealing with customer data across the enterprise: understanding the data and contexts used to store information about customers, figuring out when the data is referring to the same customer and identifying how those customers are related.
The benefit to the enterprise is remarkable: Data Analysts get back the 90% of time typically spent organizing data and replace the tedious, time-consuming task with harnessing and exploiting reliable, trusted results to drive insights that inform critical business decisions.
Our Vision for Novetta Entity Analytics
Novetta’s vision is to become the preferred one-stop data acquisition, preparation, resolution, analysis and investigation application running on Hadoop.
Our vision is becoming reality as we deliver visualization, engine performance and interface enhancements – and as we continue to build partnerships with other innovative leaders that share our vision. We’re already working toward the next major release, which is currently targeted for GA in Q1 2016.
