In one of the most tragic days in modern CIA history, a deadly 2009 suicide bombing attack killed 7 American CIA officers & contractors at Camp Chapman, near Khowst, Afghanistan.
In memory of the lives lost that day, and in support of their families, the CIA Memorial Officer Foundation will host the second annual Khowst Memorial Golf Tournament. Sponsorship packages and event donations raise money for academic scholarships for the families of the victims. We’ll be at the fundraising golf tournament this week, but you can also donate directly on their website.
The event will be held on October 8, 2020, from 8AM – 4PM at the Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket, VA.
Novetta is honored to sponsor the event and we hope you’ll join us, in person or via donation.
About the CIA Officers Memorial Foundation
The CIA Officers Memorial Foundation was created in December 2001 to honor Johnny Micheal Spann, a CIA officer killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan responding to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and all those CIA officers who gave their last full measure in service to the Nation since the founding of the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA Officers Memorial Foundation’s unique mission has supported the CIA community for 16 years. Its role has been validated repeatedly by CIA leadership as well as legislatively by the Warner Amendment, which affirmed the Foundation’s preeminent responsibility to the families of deceased CIA personnel. Today, we serve all CIA officers who gave their last full measure of devotion to their country.
