In rapidly advancing fields such as machine learning, staying up to date with new methods and technologies requires actively seeking out new learning materials and references. Scaling the knowledge of these advances across an organization, especially ones focused on advanced machine learning and data science topics, makes choosing the best learning materials an important decision. This choice affects how an organization integrates machine learning into its operations.
At Novetta, we wanted to teach practical skills in niche, rapidly advancing areas with mission impact. To this end, we developed our Machine Learning and Data Science Training courses. Novetta’s video lectures and in-person courses are led by subject matter experts with an understanding of how machine learning is applied in the intelligence, defense, and law enforcement applications. These 1-day courses, conducted for groups of ten to fifty individuals, cover underlying fundamentals of applied machine learning as well as cutting-edge developments.
We currently offer three training programs that address practical applications of three technologies:
- AdaptNLP for state-of-the-art natural language processing
- RAPIDS for GPU enabled data science
- fast.ai for quick and effective development of deep learning models
Novetta’s AdaptNLP course walks participants through the rapid changes that occured with natural language processing in the past 4 years and have advanced NLP to its current state. Through a series of lectures and live coding exercises, participants will learn the skills needed to use state-of-the-art language models and build and deploy NLP solutions for text classification, summarization, and even question-answering.
RAPIDS is an open source NVIDIA library that facilitates GPU powered data science. In our RAPIDS course, we teach participants how to quickly adapt their traditional Python-based data science workflows for use with GPUs to achieve significant speedups and cost savings.
Fast.ai is one of the quickest and most effective ways to develop and deploy deep neural networks for a range of use cases. Participants will learn how to utilize their own data with the fast.ai framework, and build custom deep learning machine learning models.
These courses are designed for engineers with an intermediate level of Python experience looking to learn and leverage some of the most recent advancements in machine learning and data science. Geared towards those newer to these topics, the courses focus on the core components to teach tangible skills which can be immediately deployed in customer environments.
