Once resolved, CLAVIN provides location data, such as alternative names, latitude/longitude coordinates, country codes, populations, elevations, and time zones.

Law Enforcement Counter-Terrorism MIssion

Novetta has supported counter-terrorism operations for a major domestic law enforcement agency since 2002, performing data ingest, entity resolution, application development, and search and reporting capabilities at all classification levels. Novetta provides development, operations, and maintenance services for all the technical areas supporting the customer’s data warehouse, and the primary data exploitation application.  We have purpose-built a scalable and robust IT platform to support the large-scale data analytics in order to overcome the data processing and performance challenges associated with extremely complex data environments. Our ingest and entity resolution processes manage over 100 distinct datasets and billions of entities using the customer’s legacy ETL tooling, custom scripting, and our own Novetta Entity Analytics software.

Maritime Order of Battle for Geospatial Intelligence

The emergence of new commercial satellite constellations is creating new opportunities for the Intelligence Community to solve key mission problems. We use deep learning convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to identify vessels present at anchorages, performing temporal analytics to detect anomalies in the vessels’ pattern of life. When vessel movement indicates that events such as military testing are underway, we can automatically notify analysts working at NGA and COCOMS of this abnormal maritime pattern of life. This capability can scale to run on a global basis across all anchorages of interest, including tier one, two and three priority locations not imaged by other satellites.
